Cars Set Ablaze Near Western, Bryn Mawr
Police: Arson A Possibility

Four cars were set on fire early Wednesday along Western Avenue in the North Side's Arcadia Terrace community.
At 4:40 a.m., crews were investigating four cars on fire at 5610 N. Western Ave., near Bryn Mawr Avenue and across from Rosehill Cemetery, according to a Lincoln District police sergeant who said the fires started sometime after 4:15 a.m.
The fire department has not yet determined the cause of the fire, according to the sergeant who said arson was a possibility.
Nobody was injured, the sergeant said.
On June 23, at least 17 vehicles were found on fire at separate locations in the Humboldt Park and Ukrainian Village neighborhoods.
Seven vehicles were found burning in the 1600 block of North Keeler Avenue about 4:15 a.m. June 23, according to a police Bomb and Arson Section sergeant.
Six more vehicles were found on fire in the 1600 block of North Spaulding Avenue about 4:45 a.m. June 23. One car was set on fire on one of the street and the fire spread to two other vehicles. Three other cars were burning on the opposite side of the street, according to the sergeant.
The fires are about a mile apart.
Four additional vehicles were found on fire near Erie and Wood streets about 5:40 a.m. June 23, according to Wood District police.
Nobody was injured in any of the June 23 fires of the fires, which are all being investigated as arsons, police said.
It was not immediately known if Wednesday's fires are connected to the June 23 fires.
The police Bomb and Arson Section is investigating.
