With an estimated 200,000 people set to pass through O'Hare International Airport on Monday, cabs and limousines will be in high demand.
But Chicago Police are hoping an undercover operation will put the brakes on rogue drivers cabbies and limo drivers operating without proper licenses.
The Chicago Tribune reports that the city is cracking down because of some major problems.
Stories abound about taxi and limo drivers who demand over-the-top fares from customers, and keep luggage locked in the trunk until they get their money.
There are also reports of other uninsured livery drivers getting into crashes where passengers are injured.
