Toddler Left Unattended At Bears Game Party
Hosts Call Police
CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) ―
The hosts of a party held to watch the Bears game Sunday night became upset and called police when they noticed someone left their toddler unattended at their Northwest Side home, police said.
Police were contacted late Sunday by the hosts of the party held at a residence in the 4100 block of North Bernard Street, according to an Albany Park District police captain.
The toddler girl was found in the residence where there were others present, but not the child's parents, according to the captain.
"The hosts were upset that people had left the child,'' the captain said.
The child did not have physical signs of neglect and was not injured but she was transported to a hospital to be checked out and her mother did eventually return, according to the captain.
Foul play is not suspected and no citations or charges would be sought, according to the captain who said the child's parents showed "poor judgement'' in leaving the child.
