Teenager Shot On South Side
CHICAGO (STNG) ―
A 17-year-old boy was shot in the chest Friday evening on the South Side.
Police responded to a shooting in the 4700 block of South Michigan Avenue about 5:56 p.m., according to police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli.
A shooter came up to the teen, fired shots and fled on foot, Mirabelli said.
Emergency crews responded to the shooting and found a 17-year-old shot in the chest, Fire Media Affairs Director Larry Langford said.
Langford said paramedics took the male teenager to Stroger Hospital of Cook County in "stable" condition.
