15-Year-Old Wounded In Roseland Shooting
CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) ―
A 15-year-old boy was shot Saturday afternoon in the South Side's Roseland neighborhood.
The boy was shot in his leg about 3:30 p.m. near East 111th Street and South Indiana Avenue, Fire Media Affairs spokesman Quention Curtis said.
He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in good condition, Curtis said.
The shooting took place about one block from the Gwendolyn Brooks College Preparatory Academy, a Chicago Public High School located at 250 E. 111th St., according to a Web directory.
