Teen Critically Injured In Southwest Side Shooting
CHICAGO (STNG) ―
A 15-year-old teenager was taken to the hospital in critical condition after being found shot in the chest on the Southwest Side.
The teen was found shot in a vehicle in the 3900 block of West 82nd Place about 8 p.m., according to Fire Media Affairs spokesman Joe Roccasalva.
He was taken in critical condition to University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital, Roccasalva said. The teen was in "pretty bad shape," Roccasalva said.
No other people were found inside the vehicle.
Chicago Police were notified of the shot teenager after receiving a 911 call, police News Affairs Officer JoAnn Taylor said.
Wentworth Area detectives are investigating.
