Teen Arrested For Hitting Teacher With Belt Buckle
CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) ―
A Dyett High School student was arrested Wednesday after allegedly hitting a teacher with a belt buckle at the South Side school in the Washington Park neighborhood, police said.
The 16-year-old girl, whose name was not being released because she is a juvenile, was charged with aggravated battery, according to police.
The South Side student was arrested at 3:50 p.m. at the school, 555 E. 51st St., where the incident allegedly happened on Wednesday, police said.
The girl allegedly hit a male teacher with a belt buckle and grabbed him by the necktie while he was trying to stop her from fighting with other students police said.
Wentworth Area detectives are investigating.
