Woman Found Shot To Death In South Shore
CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) ―
A woman was found murdered in her South Shore apartment Tuesday night on the South Side.
Veda Dodds, 48, of 7533 S. Kingston Ave., was shot to death at her home, where she was pronounced dead at 12:45 a.m., the Cook County Medical Examiner's office said.
Police responded to a report of shots fired and found the woman dead on the scene, police News Affairs Officer David Banks said. An autopsy is scheduled for later Wednesday, the medical examiner's office said.
The woman was found in an apartment, sources said.
Calumet Area detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.
