Construction Worker's Legs Crushed Near Shedd

Worker Trapped Under Bobcat

CHICAGO (STNG) ― A construction worker was seriously injured when he was crushed by a piece of equipment at a construction site near the Shedd Aquarium on Thursday morning.

Paramedics responded to an accident at 531 E. Solidarity Dr. about 9:15 a.m., according to Fire Media Affairs Cmdr. Will Knight.

A man's legs were crushed when a piece of equipment rolled over him while he was working, police News Affairs Officer Daniel O'Brien. Dispatch reports said the man was trapped under a Bobcat.

He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious to critical condition, Knight said.
