13-Year-Old Girl Missing Since Thanksgiving

Police are still looking for a 13-year-old West Side girl who went missing on Thanksgiving Day.
Shavon Elam, 13, from the 4100 block of West Monroe Street, was last seen on Nov. 26 at about 1 p.m. at home, News Affairs Officer Robert Perez said. She was reported missing three days later, on Nov. 29, by her mother, Perez said.
The girl was last seen in the area of Pulaski Road and Wilcox Street visiting her mom, according an alert from Harrison Area detectives.
Shavon is known to hang out at a gas station at West Washington Boulevard and North Pulaski Road and a residence near North Keeler Avenue and West Washington Boulevard, police said.
Shavon, nicknamed "Little Shay," is described as a black female, 5-foot-2 and 150 pounds with brown hair and eyes with a medium complexion, the alert said.
Harrison Area detectives are investigating.
