U.S. Atty Patrick Fitzgerald To Remain In Chicago
CHICAGO (CBS) ―
Corruption-buster Patrick Fitzgerald will be staying on as Chicago's federal prosecutor, CBS 2 has confirmed.
Sources in Washington say President Barack Obama is making good on his campaign promise to keep Fitzgerald on the job.
Fitzgerald was appointed by the Bush Administration. This is the first time in the last three decades that a GOP appointee is being held over by an incoming Democratic president.
CBS 2 Political Producer Ed Marshall contributed to this report.
