Metra Train Strikes Car In Palatine
PALATINE, Ill. (STNG) ―
A Metra train was caught behind schedule after striking a vehicle in the northwest suburbs Thursday morning.
Union Pacific Northwest Train No. 638, scheduled to arrive at Ogilvie Transportation Center at 10:23 a.m., reportedly struck a vehicle at Hicks Road in Palatine, according to Metra spokeswoman Meg Reile.
No injuries have been reported, according to a Palatine Fire Department spokeswoman.
The train, which initially stopped after the crash, eventually got moving, but ran 30-35 minutes behind schedule, according to a Metra alert.
