Domestic Situation Involving Child Ends Peacefully

Oak Forest Man Barricaded Himself In Apartment Complex

OAK FOREST, Ill. (CBS) ― A domestic barricade situation in Oak Forest ended peacefully Wednesday afternoon, following a standoff with police.

Reports as of 6 p.m. say it may have been a domestic dispute.

Police from Posen and Tinley Park and Illinois State SWAT teams were on the scene of the Oak Forest apartment complex.

Neighbors say they heard screams around 3:45 p.m. Wednesday and called police.

One police officer was injured slightly, but it is not known why.

Oak Forest police have blocked off the intersection of 147th Street and Central Avenue. The man was holed-up in the Manchester Apartments, a complex near that intersection.
