A 4-month-old girl has been found, two days after she was allegedly kidnapped from her North Austin neighborhood home by a teenage family friend.

The baby, Samaya Hughes, was found at 10:30 a.m. Monday morning, police said. She was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital for observation.

The 17-year-old girl suspected of kidnapping the baby is being interviewed by police.

Samaya was taken from 1549 N. Massasoit Ave. at 10 a.m. Saturday, police News Affairs Officer Gabrielle Lesniak said.

The 17-year-old girl who allegedly kidnapped her is a family friend, who has lived with the baby's family before, police said.

She had not been charged as of 11:30 a.m.
