Mike Ditka To Open Restaurant In Pittsburgh Suburb

PITTSBURGH (AP) ― Coming soon to the Pittsburgh area: Da steaks, da burgers and da ribs.

Hall of Fame football player and coach Mike Ditka is bringing his namesake restaurant to western Pennsylvania.

Officials at Pittsburgh-based Restaurant Holdings say a restaurant in Robinson Township is being renovated and will open as a Mike Ditka's steakhouse in October. The Pittsburgh company runs Ditka's two restaurants in Illinois.

Ditka is a native of Carnegie, Pennsylvania, and played football for the University of Pittsburgh. He coached the Chicago Bears to a Super Bowl win in 1985 and is one of only two people to have won Super Bowls as a player, assistant coach and head coach.
