Midway Airport Lease To Bring In $2.5 Billion

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) ― Mayor Daley on Tuesday announced the 99-year lease of Midway International Airport for $2.5 billion.

Midway Investment and Development LLC will lease the southwest side airport as part of Daley's plan to help close a $420 million budget shortfall.

Three major city assets have been on the block: Midway, the city's 36,161 parking meters its waste transfer stations.
