Fire Sweeps Through House In Maywood

MAYWOOD, Ill. (CBS) ― A major fire broke out early Friday in a house in west suburban Maywood.

The fire broke out in the 6 a.m. hour in a frame house at 509 S. 9th Ave.

Firefighters were on the scene and were making an aggressive interior attack against the blaze. They also conducted a primary search while trying to get the fire extinguished.

Information about injuries or the cause of the fire was not immediately available.
