A fire broke out early Tuesday in this apartment building in the West Side's South Austin neighborhood.

A fire broke out early Tuesday in a multi-unit apartment building in the South Austin neighborhood.
The fire was raging around 5:45 a.m. in the two-story building at 26 N. Mayfield Ave., near Austin Boulevard and Madison Street.
By just before 6 a.m., primary and secondary searches were complete and the building had been cleared of occupants. The top floor was ablaze when fire companies first arrived, and charring was visible in many windows.
The fire also extended into the back porch of the building.
The point of origin of the fire has not been found, and fire investigators are headed to the scene to determine the cause. No injuries have been reported.
