Police remain at the scene of a shooting Sunday morning that left a 29-year-old man dead in the Ukrainian Village neighborhood.

A man was fatally shot in the chest about 7:04 a.m. in the 400 block of North Wolcott Avenue, according to police News Affairs.

Jason Mueller, 29, of 1539 N. Wells St., was shot near Wolcott and Grand avenues, a spokesman for the Cook County Medical Examiner's office said. Mueller was pronounced dead at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County at 6:23 a.m.

Police say no one is in custody for the shooting Sunday.

Harrison Area detectives are investigating.
