Lynwood Man Shot And Killed Outside His Home

LYNWOOD, Ill. (CBS) ― A south suburban Lynwood man was killed Friday night when he was shot several times outside his home.

Gregory Mitchell, 53, was shot multiple times after pulling into his driveway at 19721 Lake Park Dr. in Lynwood, according to police. The offenders fled the scene.

Mitchell was taken to St. Margaret Mercy Hospital in Dyer, Ind., where he was pronounced dead at 9:36 p.m. Friday, according to the Lake County (Ind.) Coroner's office.

Lynwood police and South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force are invesigating.
