2 Hurt In Lincolnwood Break-In
LINCOLNWOOD, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) ―
One man was shot and another was injured in a home invasion Wednesday morning in north suburban Lincolnwood.
At 8:59 a.m., three male suspects forcefully entered the home in the 4800 block of Chase Avenue, according to a Lincolnwood police release. The suspects were wearing black hooded sweatshirts and left the scene in a light-colored vehicle.
One victim was struck with a blunt object and the other was shot in the abdomen, according to the release. Both victims were taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston and are currently in "stable" condition.
Lincolnwood Fire Lt. Jeff Szczech described the victims as one younger man and one older man.
It was unclear whether anyone was in custody for the home invasion Wednesday evening.
Lincolnwood police are investigating.
