Man Killed In Lincoln Park Shooting

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) ― A man was killed Sunday morning following an argument at a jazz club in the Lincoln Park neighborhood on the North Side.

The 29-year-old man was shot multiple times in his abdomen and arm at 4:35 a.m. in the 1500 block of West Webster Avenue, according to police News Affairs Officer Gabrielle Lesniak.

The man was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in critical condition, and he was pronounced dead there at 6:30 a.m., Lesniak said.

The shooting may have stemmed from an argument at Green Dolphin Street, a jazz club and bar at 2200 N Ashland Ave., according to a police source.

No one was in custody as of 3 p.m. Sunday.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's office confirmed the fatality, but was not releasing the man's name pending family notification.

Belmont Area detectives are investigating.
