Rev. Jackson Released From Hospital
CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) ―
Rev. Jesse L. Jackson Sr. was released from a Chicago hospital late Friday morning, according to a source at Rainbow PUSH.
Jackson's
condition was "much improved'' and he was released from Northwestern
Memorial Hospital about 11:50 a.m., according to the spokeswoman.
Jackson
was conducting voter registration activities in Ohio and Georgia on
Wednesday when he was stricken with food poisoning, according to a
release from the Rainbow PUSH Coalition.
He returned home and
checked into Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, where doctors
diagnosed him with viral gastroenteritis and severe dehydration.
Jackson's doctors said they expected him to make a full recovery.
