Stanley and Sandy Miller are accused of burglarizing a house in the Irving Park neighborhood and leaving three children alone in a van while doing so.

A man and woman from Des Plaines were arrested after leaving three children in a van while they burglarized a home Sunday night in the Northwest Side Irving Park neighborhood.
Stanley and Sandy Miller, whose last known address was in Des Plaines, were both charged with felony residential burglary, according to police.
Stanley Miller was held on $75,000 bond and Sandy Miller was held on $50,000 bond during a Tuesday hearing in front of Judge Michael Brown, according to Cook County State's Attorney's office spokesman Andy Conklin. Both will appear for a preliminary hearing on Nov. 16 in Northwest Felony Court (Br. 50).
Stanley, 28 and Sandy, 29 were both arrested at 9:16 p.m. Sunday at 4124 N. Pulaski Rd. as the burglary was occurring, according to police who said the charges were approved Monday at 6:22 p.m.
Someone from the building called police to say they saw the Millers allegedly in the residence on closed circuit television, according to police.
When officers responded to the Pulaski Road address they found a Ford van parked outside with three children, 8, 9 and 2 inside, according to police.
The children told police the van ran out of gas and their mother went to the gas station. The officers saw a broken window in the residence and saw Stanley and Sandy Miller inside allegedly going through boxes and drawers, according to police.
Officers saw Stanley Miller allegedly place a small metal object shaped like a horse in his pocket and when officers got inside Sandy Miller said she lived at the residence.
The Millers were placed into custody when neither could tell police the address of the residence and said their grandmother was upstairs possibly sleeping, police said.
No one else was inside the home and the victim of the burglary told police she did not know them and did not give them permission to enter, police said.
Officers searched the residence and recovered the metal horse and a glove, according to police.
Grand Central Area detectives were investigating.
