Body Found in Wooded Area North of Chicago
NILES, Ill. (AP) ―
Cook County forest preserve workers have found human remains in a sleeping bag north of Chicago.
Workers at Bunker Hill Woods in north suburban Niles found the skeletal remains in a wooded area Saturday afternoon.
Authorities say the body is so badly decomposed that it was impossible to immediately tell the person's age or gender. It's unclear how long the remains have been there.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's office has scheduled an autopsy for Sunday.
