Woman Seriously Injured In Crash With Gravel Truck
MUNDELEIN, Ill. (STNG) ―
A woman was seriously injured Wednesday morning when her car collided with a gravel truck in far north suburban Mundelein.
The accident happened at 8:12 a.m. at Route 83 and Hawley Street, said Mundelein Fire Dept. Battalion Chief Kevin McKinley.
Fire crews called a Flight For Life helicopter, which took the driver of the car to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, McKinley said. Her exact condition and injuries were not yet known, but McKinley said she was seriously injured.
No one else was injured in the accident, he noted.
The Mundelein Police Department was investigating the crash but they were not immediately available for comment.
