NIU Enrollment Levels Unchanged After Shooting

DEKALB, Ill. (AP) ― The deadly shooting at Northern Illinois University is apparently not having much of an impact on student enrollment there.

According to the Director of Admissions very few students say they will not attend because of the shooting. NIU is expecting the same number of freshman and transfer students  this fall.

Meantime, a song has been written in honor of one of the shooting victims, 20-year-old Gayle Dubowski. Money from online downloads of the song will help orphanages in Eastern Europe.
