Fenger Student Charged With Concealing Homicide
Jermaine Edmond Accused Of Hiding Murder Of Marshawn Kimball
CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) ―
A Fenger High School student has been charged as an adult early Wednesday with concealment of a homicide in the shooting of a man nearly two years ago on the Far South Side, police said.
Jermaine Edmond, 17, of the 10400 block of South Rhodes Avenue, was charged with concealment of a homicide, according to police. Cook County State's Attorney's office approved the charge at 4:55 a.m. and Edmond was charged as an adult.
Edmond was placed into custody at his home at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday for allegedly concealing the murder of 18-year-old Marshawn Kimball, who was fatally shot Nov. 24, 2007 at 10843 S. State St., police said.
Kimball, of 5533 S. Aberdeen St., was pronounced dead at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn at 3:28 p.m. Nov. 24.
Edmond, a Fenger High School student, allegedly moved Kimball's body from where the incident occurred to a "staged area," according to police.
