2 Shot Dead On South, Southwest Sides
CHICAGO (STNG) ―
Two young men were fatally shot Tuesday night on the South and Southwest sides in separate attacks. No one is in custody Wednesday morning.

Tracking Summer Shootings In ChicagoIn the Back of the Yards neighborhood, a 15-year-old boy was shot about 8 p.m. while standing in the street at 2016 W. 49th Street. The boy heard shots before falling and being taken to Stroger Hospital of Cook County.
The unidentified male Hispanic victim, who lived at 4918 S. Seeley Ave., was pronounced dead at an unknown time at Stroger Hospital, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office, which said the victim was in his 20s and the shooting happened at 4800 S. Seeley Ave.
Police said there is no description of the shooter.
In the Marquette Park neighborhood, 18-year-old Jose Rivera was fatally shot at 3819 W. 69th Pl. about 9:12 p.m., police said.
The gunman emerged on foot from a gangway and shot Rivera, police said.
Rivera, of 6428 S. Kilpatrick Ave., was pronounced dead at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn at 9:42 p.m., according to the medical examiner's office.
Wentworth Area detectives are investigating both shootings, which are apparently not related, and no one was in custody at 5:30 a.m.
