Man Accused Of Burning Sons Expected In Custody

Kaushik Patel Is Expected To Leave The Hospital Thursday

CHICAGO (CBS) ― A Glendale Heights man accused of setting his own sons on fire is expected to walk from the hospital into custody Thursday to face murder charges.

Four-year old Om Patel died from his injuries two months after the incident. Vishv Patel is still in the burn unit at the Loyola University Medical Center.

Prosecutors say in November their father, Kaushik Patel, doused the boys with gasoline and set them on fire. He was also badly burned.
