Bicyclist Opens Fire On 2 Women In Englewood
CHICAGO (STNG) ―
A person riding on a bicycle opened fire on two women Tuesday night in the Englewood neighborhood.
The shooting happened in the 7000 block of South Wolcott Avenue just before 6:10 p.m., police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli said.
Two women were shot and taken to area hospitals in "stable" condition, Mirabelli said. A 22-year-old woman was taken to Holy Cross with a gunshot wound to the left leg, and a 22-year-old woman was taken to Advocate Chris Medical Center in Oak Lawn with a gunshot wound to the right leg.
Fire Media Affairs spokesman Richard Rosado said one person was taken in serious to critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. A second person was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in serious to critical condition.
No shooter is in custody.
Wentworth Area detectives are investigating.
