75-Year-Old Woman Vanishes From Wood Dale Home

Mablyne Karnatz Hasn't Been Seen Since Thursday Night

WOOD DALE, Ill. (CBS) ― A 75-year-old year old woman is missing from her Wood Dale home, and police are asking the public for help in finding her.

Mablyne G. Karnatz, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease, walked away from her home at Illinois Route 83 and Montrose Avenue in Wood Dale on Thursday night, Wood Dale police said.

Police were called at 8:30 p.m. , and a search was conducted along with the DuPage County Sheriff's Department, the Elk Grove Village Police Department, and Wood Dale police canine units.

Karnatz is described as a white female, standing 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 125 pounds, with auburn-gray hair and glasses. She was last seen wearing a dark green jacket and light blue pants.

While her first name is Mablyne, Karnatz may also respond to the name Gail, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Wood Dale Police Chief Frank Biniewicz or Deputy Chief Greg Vesta, at (630) 766-2060.
