18-Year-Old Shot In Possible South Side Drive-By

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) ― An 18-year-old man was shot in the thigh in the South Side's Marquette neighborhood Friday afternoon in a possibly drive-by shooting.

The man was shot on the 2900 block of West 64th Street about 4:04 p.m., according to a Chicago Lawn District police officer.

A report from the police First Deputy Superintendent's office said the man was shot in the thigh and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in "stable" condition.

The shooting may have been a drive-by, the report said.

Police have no offender information Friday evening.

Wentworth Area detectives are investigating.
