Video billboards along major expressways are being used to help find the Bolingbrook mother of two. The billboards were donated by the Clear Channel Company.
State Police spokesman Sgt. Thomas J. Burek would not elaborate on the statement other than to say it was not issued in response to the release of the text message earlier this week.
Joel Brodsky, Drew Peterson's attorney, said this week that a sexually suggestive message sent Sept. 20 to Stacy Peterson's cell phone may be from her "secret lover." Drew Peterson has said he discovered the message in mid-December but that he doesn't know who sent it.
Ever since the mother of two vanished Oct. 28, her husband has insisted she simply left him, possibly with another man.
On Sunday, a vigil will be held in commemoration of Stacy Peterson's 24th birthday. The vigil is schedule for 4 p.m. at the Living Water Community Church, at 190 Lily Cache Lane in Bolingbrook.
