Man Shot And Killed In Pullman
CHICAGO (STNG) ―
A 22-year-old man suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head in the Far South Side Pullman area early Sunday.
About 2:05 a.m., witnesses saw a man fire a gun at the victim, striking him in the head in the 600 block of East 115th Street, according to a report from the police First Deputy Superintendent's Office. The gunman then fled in a car, the report said.
The victim, identified as Victor Ortiz, of 11311 S. Langley Ave., was pronounced dead at the Stein Institute at 5:30 a.m., according to a spokesman for the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. The shooting occurred at 601 E. 115th St., according to the medical examiner's spokesman.
Calumet Area detectives are investigating.
