Police: Robber Used Post-It Note

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) ― Authorities are seeking a suspect who reportedly used a Post-It note to announce a bank robbery Friday morning in the Lincoln Park neighborhood.

Police received a report of a bank robbery at the North Community Bank, 2335 N. Clark St., at 11:42 a.m., according to police News Affairs Officer Laura Kubiak.

According to unconfirmed police dispatch reports, the robber is described as a black man in his 40s who was wearing a beige hat, black sunglasses, black shoes and a black bag at the time of the robbery. He reportedly announced his robbery with a post-it note and fled south on Clark Street after fleeing the scene.

It was not immediately known if the suspect was armed.

An FBI spokesperson confirmed the robbery and said agents were on the scene investigating as of noon.
