The Chicago Housing Authority says it has temporarily suspended the contract of a property manager after a boy died when he was hit by a metal gate.
Urban Property Advisers managed Cabrini-Green Rowhouses at the time of the June 27th accident.
They're being temporarily suspended until CHA authorities finish investigating the accident that killed 3-year-old Chris Cooper.
The boy died after a metal gate he was swinging on fell from its hinges and hit him in the head.
Chicago authorities say the Cabrini-Green Rowhouses will be temporarily managed by the H.J. Russell & Company.
That Atlanta firm already provides management services for other areas of the Cabrini-Green complex.
