Several Cars Damaged Near Lincoln Park Zoo
CHICAGO (STNG) ―
More than a dozen vehicles were damaged by one or more vandals early Wednesday morning in Lincoln Park.
Police have received reports of 12 to 15 cars that had windows smashed or incurred other damage along Stockton Avenue from about 2047 North to 2200 North (Webster Drive), along the western edge of the Lincoln Park Zoo, according to police News Affairs Officer Marcel Bright.
"It appears someone just walked along Stockton and struck these vehicles with something," Bright said. About 15 reports had been received by noon Tuesday, and more may be coming, he said.
Bright said the damage occurred between midnight and 8:30 a.m. Wednesday to the cars, all of which were parked on the street.
