CHICAGO (CBS) ― A car struck and injured four children early Thursday on the city's Far South Side.

The vehicle struck the four children around 7:50 a.m. at 103rd Street and Cottage Grove Avenue, police News Affairs officers said.

One child was intitally taken in serious condition to University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital, Fire Media Affairs Asst. Director Eve Rodriguez said.

Three others were taken to Advocate Trinity Hospital in stable condition. The injuries of those three appeared to be non-life threatening, O'Brien said.

All four children were listed in good condition as of 12:12 p.m., a Calumet District captain said.
