3 In Critical Condition After Southwest Side Crash

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) ― An accident involving a car fire on the Southwest Side early Saturday sent people three people to area hospital in critical condition.

The accident happened about 2:40 a.m. on the 5600 block of West 63rd Street, according to police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer. There was at least one car involved that reportedly caught fire, she said.

Two people were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn and one person was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Fire Media Affairs spokesman Richard Rosado said. All the transports were in serious to critical condition.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
