NW Side Accident Sends 7 To Hospital
CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) ―
An accident involving three vehicles hospitalized seven people Sunday evening.
Just before 5 p.m., an Isuzu Rodeo heading south on Cicero Avenue went through a stale yellow light, striking a late-model Chevrolet that was attempting to make a left turn, police News Affairs Officer David Banks said.
The Rodeo struck the Chevrolet, which then struck another vehicle that was traveling east on Armitage Avenue, Banks said.
The 36-year-old man driving the Rodeo was cited for not having insurance, disobeying a red light and making an improper left turn, Banks said. The Chevy driver was also cited for lack of insurance and making an improper left-turn.
Banks said all injuries were non life-threatening.

One child and one adult were taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, two people were taken to Saint Elizabeth Medical Center, two people were taken to Our lady of the Resurrection Medical Center and one person was taken to Norwegian-American Hospital, Knight said.
