The "Bulletproof Bandit" has struck a north suburban bank for the second time.
The suspect, dubbed the Bulletproof Bandit by the FBI because it appears he wears a bulletproof vest during the heists, is believed to be behind a robbery Wednesday at Edens Bank, 5256 Dempster in Skokie.
The same man is believed to have robbed that same bank on April 17, and a North Community Bank branch at 2335 North Clark St. in Chicago on March 27.
The suspect is a white male, armed with a gun, about 40 years old, 6 feet 2 inches with a slim build. He covered the lower portion of his face with a handkerchief, according to an FBI release.
He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured.
