Missing Aurora 11-Year-Old Found Safe

Marcus Gomez, 11, Said He Was Going To Friend's House

AURORA, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) ― An 11-year-old west suburban boy reported missing on Wednesday missing in Aurora, Marcus Antonio Gomez, was found safe on Friday afternoon, according to police in west suburban Aurora.

Marcus Antonio Gomez of the 300 Block of Forest Avenue left home Monday and told his brother he would be spending the night with a friend, according to Aurora police. His parents and family members searched for him themselves before reporting him missing on Wednesday, police said

Marcus, who had not run away in the past, was found about 5:30 p.m. Friday at a home in the 1100 block of Assell Avenue in Aurora, police said.

No other information was immediately available.
