Son Charged With Murdering Parents

VILLA PARK, Ill. (AP) ― Authorities are searching for a 33-year-old suburban Chicago man charged with first-degree murder in the shooting deaths of his parents.
 
Artu Shehu of Villa Park faces two counts of first-degree murder for allegedly killing his 66-year-old father Syrja and his 67-year-old mother Safo in their Villa Park home.

Villa Park police say Shehu works as a cab driver and remains at large.

Chicago police spokesman Tom Polick says one of Shehu's two vehicles was found on Chicago's North Side near the lake front on Monday.

Villa Park police identified that vehicle as a white cab with black lettering that says "Shehu Cab."

Police say Shehu's other vehicle -- a 2001 Volkswagen -- has also been located.
