What Fell Through Factory In Arlington Heights?

FAA: It's Not 'Blue Ice' From An Aircraft

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (AP) ― The Federal Aviation Administration and police in northwest suburban Arlington Heights are attempting to identify an icy object that fell from the sky and crashed through the roof of a small factory.

The object was one of several that hit the roof of the Weber Marking Systems plant about 3 a.m. Friday.

No one was injured.

FAA spokeswoman Elizabeth Isham Cory said that although investigators aren't sure what the object is, it's definitely not blue ice -- a term used for wastewater that comes from an aircraft.

Cory said investigators were still unsure if it came from an aircraft, but if it did, it might have come from a leak in the plane's drinking water supply.
