4 Injured In Andersonville Rollover Crash

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) ― Four people were injured -- one critically -- in a crash that involved a rollover in the Andersonville neighborhood on the city's North Side Wednesday afternoon.

Three cars were involved in the crash, which happened about 3:40 p.m., at Clark Street and Balmoral Avenue, according to Fire Media Affairs Assistant Director Eve Rodriguez.

Three people were in fair condition and one was listed in critical, Rodriguez said. She did not yet know what hospitals the injured were taken to.

Numerous pieces of fire equipment and police personnel are also on the scene of the crash.

Both northbound and southbound No. 22 Clark Street buses have been rerouted around the scene of the accident, according to CTA spokeswoman Catherine Hosinski. The reroute is between Clark and Ashland Avenue on the north and Clark and Foster Avenue on the south, Hosinski said.

An EMS Plan I, which sends five ambulances to the scene, was called and secured by 4:05 p.m., Rodriguez said.
