93-Year-Old Woman Struck Dead By Minivan
Van Recovered, Suspect Still At Large
CHICAGO (STNG) ―
A 93-year-old woman was fatally struck by a minivan in a hit-and-run Sunday night in the Albany Park neighborhood.
A vehicle struck the person about 10:40 p.m. in the 4800 block of North Kimball Avenue, according to police News Affairs Officer David Banks, who said it was a hit-and-run.
Myrtle Kramer, of 4840 N. Bernard St., was struck by a vehicle at 3432 W. Lawrence Ave. and pronounced dead at 11:15 p.m. at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
The Chevrolet Astro Van involved was recovered in the 3500 block of West Argyle Street but police were still seeking the driver as of 2 a.m.
An autopsy is scheduled for later Monday.
