Teen Shot Dead In Albany Park
Sean Agusto Was Slain Just A Few Blocks From North Park University

Another Chicago teenager has been shot and killed, this time in the usually quiet Albany Park neighborhood.

Tracking Summer Shootings In ChicagoThe boy, identified as Sean Agusto, 16, by the Cook County Medical Examiner's office, was on the sidewalk at 5011 N. Troy St. about 9:30 p.m. Monday when someone standing across the street fired two shots at him, striking him once in the chest, according to Grand Central Area detectives.
Agusto, of 1722 N. Central Park Ave., was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 10:11 p.m., the medical examiner's office said.
The incident is possibly gang-related, according to police.
Grand Central Area detectives said no one was in custody Tuesday morning.
The shooting happened in a neighborhood not known for crime, just a few blocks from North Park University and also close to Swedish Covenant Hospital and Northeastern Illinois University.
