Send Us Your Memories Of Randy

Viewers share their thoughts and memories of CBS 2 Morning anchor Randy Salerno, who passed away in a snowmobiling accident late Thursday night.

I'm sitting here watching the memorial show.
It's so hard to believe ..
My son and I watched the show this morning.
1st thing he said was "Where's Randy?"
I get to tell him the news when he gets home from school.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
--P.Smith

I grew up watching WGN in the morning before school and all day long when school was out. I've always had a fascination with news anchors because I wanted to be one. I always had a little girl crush on Randy… he was such a hunk! I lost a cousin in a snowmobile accident in Wisconsin as well. This tragedy really hits home. Randy, his family, and his friends are in my prayers!
--Heather Schwartz

The first thing I do when I come downstairs every morning at 5am is put on Randy and Roseanne!
Then brew my coffee. I am shocked..I loved his humor!! He made my mornings, before I had to go to work!
And I followed him from WGN! I am so saddened by this news! I see Roseanne now at 11:00 p.m. watching right now and my heart is breaking! And of course for his family. But this is the family I have come to know and love every morning. Me heartfelt sympathy to all!
--Rhonda Gordon, Northbrook, Il

I just heard about Randy after I took my daughter to school this morning. I was devastated. I have watched Randy since channel 9. I always thought he was wasted at channel 9, and was glad when he went to channel 2. When Roseanne joined him it was a perfect pair. He was witty, enjoyable and entertaining to watch. I always watched channel 2 since he was there. My heart goes out to his family first, especially his kids. It is terrible to lose a parent so young. Next, to his work family, which might actually have spent more time with him than his family. To work with someone day after day, he must have been as close to you as your own family. I will pray for his wife, kids, parents, Roseanne, and all the rest. I am truly sorry for your loss, and remember, he is always in the hearts of those who knew him and loved him!!!!
My deepest prayers and thoughts,
--Karen Bencomo

how you all said those great & fabulous words about randy i feel so extraordinarily sad. true spirits leave when they are at their height. sadly they leave us too soon. he is happy with all our thoughts on how he struck out derek lee. the cubs rule randy!!! this season is for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
--lrm

I'm not a news watcher, but the morning news with Randy was the only newscast I found really enjoyable to watch. Randy's sarcastic sense of humor kept me laughing, and the mix of Susan, Roseanne and Ed made it the best a.m. news I've ever seen. I actually cried when I heard the news.
My thoughts and prayers go out to all his family, personal and t.v. He will be greatly missed. So sorry.
--Cheryl

My family and I are so deeply saddened to hear this tragic news. I look forward to starting my mornings with the CBS morning crew and really enjoy all the comradery among these incredible journalists. Randy's quick wit and charm will be greatly missed by so many. Knowing how I feel right now, I cannot imagine what you are all going through.

My thoughts, my heart and many, many prayers are with all of you and Randy's dear family.

God bless you,
Kathryn Theobald, Geneva

I couldn't believe he is no more! I love watch Morning news from him and Roseanne along with Ed and Susan. I watched him yesterday without realizing that was the last live news from him. Let me pray Divine Mother to give all the courage and support that his personal family as well as News family may need to overcome his loss.
--Venkatesan Kumar

We can express our sympathy for Randy's family and friends. We felt we knew him having enjoyed his reporting and occasionally bumping into him when in Crystal Lake - always at the Best Buy! Our hearts hurt immensely as if a member of our family has now gone. God Bless Randy.
Love, Bill and Erin

We had the pleasure of meeting Randy last year when he coached our daughter's basketball team through a local Crystal Lake organization. We also saw him at local high school football games this past season. That's what was so neat about Randy - he was a Chicago celebrity but was out and about in his hometown. He will be missed!
--Sheri L. Schremp

My sincerest condolences to the Salerno family and friends. We (Chicago at-large) all shared him and feel that we knew him. We will miss him
--Victoria Harris & Family

My deepest condolences to Randy's family, friends, and colleagues. I have enjoyed his newscasting both at WGN and Channel 2. How very sad; he was so fun -- I didn't know him personally, but his sense of joy and loving life came through the television every day as he brought us the news, good or bad. God bless him and his family.
--Trish Holland

I was truly sadden to here of the devastating loss of Randy Salerno today. I am over whelmed with emotion for him and his family. He was a joy to have start my mornings with and he will forever be missed. My deepest sympathy.

My deepest sympathies to both Randy's family and his news team. He was truly a Chicago wonder, reporting the news each day with fervor and realism mixed with just the right amount of humor and sarcasm, a rare ability, indeed. In my aged estimation, Randy stands as a Chicago television icon along with other Chicago TV greats like Bozo and Ray Rayner. Folks like them are watched and loved by children as well as adults. We will miss him! My prayers go out to his wife, three children and Roseann, Ed, and Susan, his co-workers. God Bless you all.
Dr. Roberta Sejnost, Darien, Illinois

His shoes will be hard to fill.

I was actually looking forward to his remarks, he was quite funny. I watch CBS Morning News every weekday as I prepare to go to work, and it was a shocker to hear this. I will miss him and I am very sorry for the loss his family at home and work has to endure.
--Jackie Tayborn

Damn (is all I can say) -- I gonna miss him.
--Rick Rusch, Naperville

I am so sad for his family at home and his family at work. He truly was a great anchor and a funny down to earth guy! My heart goes out to you who knew him personally. Even as a viewer, I enjoyed him too. What a great loss!

god bless randy, his wife, and children and
all of his coworkers and friends

--toni, Michigan city

I wouldn't watch any other news in the morning, Nothing against the news media, but channel 2 morning news was the way to wake up in the morning. I just found out about the accident, my cable wasn't working this morning so I didn't find out until now. Everyone on channel 2 are remarkable people to listen to I will miss Randy when I watch the news.
--Karen

I can't believe the one day my TV "alarm" did not come up at 5am to CBS was the day this was announced! I switched from years of WGN to CBS just because I enjoyed and respected the early morning professionalism of Randy and Rosanne. There was friendship, history and he was a local, which I could appreciate.I really enjoyed watching him over the years on both stations. It truely is a loss, he was his own personality, he didn't try to behave for the ratings, he was professional with a great sense of humor. It is very sad that he was taken so young. My condolances to his family and his friends.
From a loyal viewer.

I'm speechless, devastated and shocked at this sad sad news.

I've been watching Randy for over a decade and love the entire CBS morning team. I never miss a broadcast, you all come into my household and become a part of who I am, I felt like I lost my friend and I have never even met him. I stepped back and just cried.

Naturally my thoughts and prayers are with both his "families" - personal and work.
Watching CBS morning news will just never be the same for me but I will continue
--Diane-Audrey Benecke

I always wake up with Randy, Roseanne, Ed and Susan at about 4:30. This morning I noticed that he was missing and, figured that he probably took a much needed and deserved day off. I can't tell you how shocked and saddened I was to hear of his passing. My mornings will not be the same without him and, the constant banter between him and his co-anchors. My heart-felt sympathies to his family, friends and, his CBS family. He will be GREATLY missed.
--Judy, Hammond, IN

As a person who attended a rival high school of Randy's back in the early 1980's I remember what a great basketball player he was when he attended Crystal Lake South and there were some real battles when they faced Crown High School back in those days. He really reached great heights after leaving high school and the news of this tragic death is very shocking and depressing to everyone who knew him or was an acquainted with him.
--John Bumbales

I would like to extend my sympathy to the news crew at Channel 2 News and to Randy Salerno's family on the news of his passing. He will be sorely missed. His banter with Roseann helped many of us start each day. He seemed so "normal." --Barbara Ford, Wauconda, IL.

MY HEART IS SO HEAVY AFTER HEARING SUCH TRAGIC NEWS ABOUT RANDY THIS MORNING.

MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS GO OUT TO HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS, BUT I AM ALSO SO SAD FOR THE MORNING NEWS TEAM.

RANDY, ROSEANN, SUSAN AND ED HAD CREATED SUCH A PLEASANT DYNAMIC AND THE TEAM AS A WHOLE DREW YOU IN…EACH MORNING.

THEY WERE A PART OF MY ROUTINE.

RANDY'S WIT AND HUMOR (AND HIS OBSESSION WITH NAPLOEAN DYNAMITE) HAD A LOT TO DO WITH THAT.

HE CAN BE CREDITED WITH PULLING ME AWAY FROM WGN.

I WILL MISS HIM.

SO SAD.
--Maureen Geraghty, Harwood Heights

I AM SO SADDENED TO HEAR THE NEWS ABOUT RANDY SALERNO. I LOVED HIS AWESOME SENSE OF HUMOR AND HE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED. MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE EXTENDED TO THE SALERNO FAMILY AND ALSO TO THE CBS2 NEWS TEAM.
--SEXTON FAMILY IN PLANO ,IL

I'll always remember how he made funny, witty comments to Ed Curran, or Susan Carlson, like just the other day
he asked right at the end of the show if he could mess up her hair like David Letterman did to the presidential candidate, John Edwards.
Things like that made me leave my house smiling in the morning.
There are so many funny comments over the years, I hope I remember all of them for a long time to come.
Even though I never met him personally, he was a great guy and genuinely a fun person. Someone who could never be replaced.
I'm so very sad and shocked over his death.
--Katie

We were stunned to learn of Randy's untimely death. I have corresponded with him many times via email, and he was always gentleman enough to reply. We have always enjoyed his wit and slightly left-of-center sense of humor. He even used a video clip on the "Something to talk about" segment that we sent him. Watching him bat it back and forth with the rest of the morning team (mostly Susan) was one of the highlights of our morning routine.

Since he lived in Crystal Lake, that made him a neighbor, as we live in Wonder Lake, and each time I had to go to Crystal Lake for any reason I always hoped I would run into him somewhere.

We grieve with his family, friends, and fans, and send our heartfelt condolences. He will be sorely missed.
--Rick and Laura Pickell, Wonder Lake, IL

It saddens me to hear this news, I watched Randy when he joined WGN and then on to CBS 2. Randy played a huge role in your news casts. I feel sorry for his family and his news partner Roseanne Tellez who was also at GN, my prayers are with his blood family and his journalism family.
--Chuck Lencioni

To my dearest Morning News Team,
I am so sorry and shocked! When I got to work this morning a co-worker told me about Randy.

We were unable to watch Channel 2 this morning – something was wrong with our cable so we didn't know.

Please extend my deepest and most sincere thoughts for his family both at home and at the studio. Thank you for sharing Randy with us at home!

Randy was a extraordinary bright spot in our morning ritual and always started off our day with a smile because of his antics with Ed and RoseAnn.

I'm truly devastated~
Mary Murphy

As a lifelong Chicagoan, I was deeply saddened by Randy Salerno's death. I enjoyed Randy's anchorman reporting and his professional journalism. He is leaving us much too young and too soon....I cannot even imagine the grief his wife, children and family must be experiencing, as well as his co-workers from both Channel 2 and 9. My heartfelt prayers are with all of them right now.
--Jacquie K, Lombard IL

I took a picture of Randy at a school function where he had volunteered to run the Cotton Candy machine. I am sorry the picture is on my home computer and I can't get to it until this evening. He was covered with cotton candy, in his hair and clothes. He was always the first one to volunteer. From the fund raiser MC to running the cotton candy machine. He loved his kid's and cared about his community. He will be missed.
--Pat Voel-Pel

I am so very sorry for all of you to lose such a great part of your "am family". Words really can not express it.

My deepest Sympathies.
--Susanne, Westmont IL

What a cool anchor man he was.

I don't need an old person to read me the news and he made hearing of the news exciting and fun.

I loved him of 9 and when he worked at 2 I would only watch 2 when he was anchor

He was too too young to leave us, he will be missed
RIP
--Shirley Turuc, Schaumburg

I am deeply, deeply saddened and shocked by the passing of Randy Salerno. I feel like I have lost a friend.
I have become an avid fan of the CBS morning news show, ever since Randy and Roseanne came to the station. His dry sense of humor and the obvious admiration and friendship between he and Roseanne, has been wonderful to watch, and at the same time, they are great newscasters.

I will miss him so much and cannot imagine the pain that those who knew him are suffering. I did not know him and I feel the pain of the loss.

My heart is broken, I've always shared his funny videos and stories with co-workers. I also enjoyed watching Randy pick on Susan Carlson about her love for animals and Ed Curran with the techno gadgets. I had the honor to met him at Lucky Strike. He will be Missed... We loved and enjoyed you Randy.
--Ada Rodriguez

I am so saddened for Randy's family and your staff. To be honest, I rarely watch morning news, but when I do, I turn to Ch 2 after hearing Randy on Garry Meier's show on CKG. He was hilarious. That trip he took with his kids in the RV last summer gave him so much material and showed he was a great dad.
My deepest sympathies go out to his wife and kids. Prayers are with you.
--Melissa Colombo

It is extremely sad to hear of Randy's passing. My mornings would begin with the upbeat humor of Randy and the other members of the morning news team. All of us viewers could see his witty and charming personality come through with every news cast. The mornings will not be the same. Please share my most sincere condolences with his family and to Rosanne, Susan and Ed.

The news of Randy Salerno's death has truly affected me and my husband, as we have enjoyed Randy on both CBS and WGN for many years. He always was so laid back, funny, and just seemed to be such a wonderful person. He will truly be missed by us, and our hearts go out to his family and friends.
Sincerely,
Dean and Carrie Coppe, Glen Ellyn

I remember Randy from the WGN Daze, when the Grateful-Dead (Circus) was in town, at Soldier Field, and he was in the parking lot prior to the concerts, interviewing us Deadheads.

Now mind you, there were tons of other reporters in the parking lots; typical "talking heads", yet Randy fit in, also playing "hacky sack" with us.

He truly will be missed!
--Kevin Garrett, Round Lake

I will miss seeing Mr. Salerno in the morning as I'm sure many others will.

I had written him just a week or so ago asking about a link to something he had aired on the news. I have written other media people in the past, but was so impressed that within an hour he had answered my email. He was such a joy to watch, along with Roseanne Tellez. He just seemed so enthusiastic and nice-mannered.

I lost a brother of 41 yrs. in age in 2006, so I know how troubling it can be on family members.

My prayers are for both him and his family. May God bless them with peace during this most troubling time.

Thank You
--Anonymous

My heart goes out to his family, friends and co-workers. What a horrible shock! My prayers are with you all.
--Claudia Bruening, Naperville

Total shock and tears is the only way I can express my own personal feelings about the news of Randy's death. As a personal fan of CBS2 news, and especially the morning news team, I offer my deepest sympathy to the entire CBS staff and of course, to Randy's wife, children, parents, family and friends.

For the past four years, we have brought West Dundee-Spring Hill Mall's Santa Claus to the Morning News Show and have been always so warmly welcomed by the best and nicest people in the business - Randy, Roseanne, Ed, Susan, and Bill - not even to mention Chris Selfridge, Harvey, and Shirai! Santa loves the team, too, and will be so saddened to hear of Randy's passing. Happy experiences will never be forgotten.

Gold bless you all in this difficult time.
--Dan and Pat Szpekowski

Randy was one of the guys you loved running into out on a story. He could slice through even the most serious of scenes with a cunning quip and a sly smile. I remember when he worked at WGN and I was at CLTV, he was as excited as a little kid over a new purchase: Two small Motorola walkie-talkies. While the rest of us were running around trying to coordinate with photographers in a huge chaotic crowd at a demonstration, Randy kicked-back with his feet up in the live truck calmly giving instructions to his favorite photographer Paul Wheeler on the other end. "You gotta' learn to work smart, Bradley," I remember Randy saying and then giving me that grin of his. Our profession is worse without him.
--Ben Bradley
Reporter, WLS-TV, ABC 7 News

Randy played in the Arthritis Foundation golf event that Steve Cochran of WGN radio does for us. He was such a nice man and a true gentleman and definitely funny. He will truly be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to Randy's family and his CBS 2 colleagues, especially Roseanne.

I am happy he touched my life in a small way.
--Mary Poland

My main news source comes from the television in the mornings. Until 2 years ago I faithfully, listened/watched another station for well over 20 years. Then one morning I didn't have time to change the station which had been left on CBS the prior evening. I was immediately hooked on Channel 2's Morning 'Gang'. Their incredible humor, the chemistry between ALL the broadcasters, & the very apparent affection they have for one another has made each day start off on a high note. In my opinion, it is the best of any news program in any time slot, on any station. I have told so many people that unless they are watching Randy, Roseanne, Susan, Ed & Bill, they have no idea how much they are missing. I don't think a single work day has gone by when Randy's unique humor hasn't made me laugh right out loud & I can't count the times I'd stop what I should be doing to run to a TV to actually see what he was up to. The announcement of his passing this morning hit me in the stomach & my heart. My most sincere sympathies go out to his family, of whom he so often spoke, & to his co-workers. The loss of Randy Salerno is simply overwhelmingly tragic.
--JoEllyn Fredricksen, Waukegan

We are so deeply saddened by this, and Randy's passing is a tragic loss not only to Chicago journalism, but viewers as well. My wife and I had just about given up watching local morning news shows when Randy showed up at Channel 2. His fresh, irreverent wit and uncanny ability to strip away fluff placed Randy in a class of his own. He was a treasure and a joy to experience on our little breakfast TV every weekday morning. It will take a very long time for us to recover from this loss. To say we will miss Randy is an understatement. Please extend our heartfelt, deepest condolences to his family, and his friends and colleagues at CBS2 Chicago. We know how much you must be hurting right now.
--John Hall, Lake in the Hills

My heart sunk this morning when I heard the news about Randy. I knew Randy in college at Illinois State. We were Mass Communication majors and we took a radio class together. Randy, another friend and myself worked on our final project together which was a spoof on Romeo and Juliet. Randy, of course took the role of Randio. We had a great time working on that project! I'll have to pull the tape out and listen to it. Randy was a great guy...funny, smart, friendly and just fun to be around.

I remember seeing Randy for the first time on WGN and I was so happy to see that he had made it as a broadcast journalist. Those of us who knew him at ISU, knew that he would be very successful.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Randy's family and friends. He will be missed.
--Debbie Hagel,Naperville

It saddens me to hear of such a tragedy. Since moving to Chicago in late 2007, CBS2 Chicago has been my morning wake up program. I enjoyed watching Randy so much every morning! My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
Regards,

Wow...such a shock to hear. We were watching the news this morning and saw that he wasn't there and never thought that this was why. We are so very sad. We switched to CBS 2 in the morning when Randy came to work there and was very happy when Roseanne joined - they were a fabulous team . Randy just made us laugh yet we totally respected him as a journalist. He seemed like someone you were friends or a husband of one of your girlfriends that you just liked. We will miss him and our prayers go out to his family, friends and co-workers. This truly is a sad day for the Chicagoland community!!!! Morning news in Chicago will never be the same....
--Jamie, Buffalo Grove

MY HEART GOES OUT TO RANDY'S FAMILY. HE WAS A GREAT NEWS CASTER. MY FAMILY ENJOYED WATCHING HIM. HE WILL BE TRULY MISSED. MAY GOD BLESS RANDYS FAMILY AT THIS SORROWFUL TIME. MAY GOD AND HIS ANGELS ALWAYS WATCH OVER RANDY'S FAMILY.
--THE FERN FAMILY, CHICAGO

It's as if I've lost a good friend that I never knew personally. From his acerbic wit and interaction with his co-anchors, to his fun loving attitude of life which came through in his broadcasts....THANK YOU Randy Salerno.
May Yahweh bless your spirit, Randy, and touch the lives off all of your family and other loved ones at this time.
This world is a better place because Randy was here to keep us light-hearted in a very serious world.
Thank goodness Randy Salerno was here to touch us with his presence. It was just too darn short of a time.
Sincerely,
Michael Sherry, Chicago East Lakeview.

My thoughts and prayers are with Randy's family and friends. He was one of my favorite reporters/anchors in Chicago. In an era of "plastic" reporters Randy was REAL. You could trust what he was reporting. My husband and I also loved his humor - he just seemed like someone that could be your neighbor. Our hearts go out to his wife and three children.
--Anna Ghiotti

I just wanted to say that we loved watching Randy every morning. He was so funny and made our morning brighter. He will be deeply missed by our family. I wish only the very best to his family.
With deepest sadness,
Autumn Bailey

Randy was a great friend and neighbor. Always full of life and opinions. I often joked with him that he wasn't "just a talking head". His wry sense of humor and quick wit will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with both his and that of Hirschey family at this time.
--Janet Priesz

There is no way to pinpoint a single memory of Randy, because there are just so many. His sarcastic and even "dry" wit was his best quality. His offbeat sense of humor always made the mornings for my family and I. We were in complete shock when we heard the news. God be with his wife and children at this time. We'll miss you Randy!

Randy was a very funny guy when it came to doing the new. I will miss his laugh and his wit of how he handled the news, my prayers are with all of you at the station and his family.

My deepest sympathies to Randy's family and his family and friends in broadcasting. I woke every morning to Randy and so relieved to see him on the air when the weather was bad, knowing he had to drive to Chicago from Crystal Lake. I worried about him like I worry about my own children. He was part of my day and he will be missed. God Bless.

I just called Susan Carlson and left a message with her. I watch the morning news every morning before I go to work.

When I was on the internet this morning and read about Randy Salerno, I felt so bad, I almost felt like a family member had passed away. The Channel 2 news team is the best, from Randy, to Roseanne, Susan, Ed, they all work so well together. Although I have never personally met the team, they are in my living room every morning and I look forward to listening to them each morning.

Randy will truly be missed and my deepest sympathy to his family and the Channel 2 news.

Currently I am undergoing chemo for cancer.... Each morning As my husband left for work I got up and watched the Chicago CBS broadcast...Randy would make me laugh each and every morning. So I decided to e-mail him and let him know how he started each of my days in a positive note rather then a negative. He made a difference in my days, starting out laughing or crying....Randy made me laugh.

He personally E-mailed me back, telling me that "I" was awesome...and how much he appreciated me as a viewer. (I still have a copy of his e-mail) My heart aches today for the channel 2 group, for Randy's family and friends. He brought a smile to my face each and everyday, he will be greatly missed.

I watch Channel 2 news every morning while getting ready for work. My thoughts and prayers go out to Randy's family and co-workers.
Sincerely,

This is truly a sad day for the Chicago news listening area—Randy was one of a kind! The CBS morning news is the only one I would watch and that was because of Randy's wit and his relationship with Rosanne Tellez. My deepest sympathies go out to his wife and children whose loss can never be replaced.

I heard the news on Steve Dahl's radio show this morning and thought it was a joke. When I realized it was not, I was completely shocked. It is such a tragic loss for his family, his colleagues, and even for the Chicago area, which Randy truly loved as you could tell in his work.

I started watching CBS 2 in the morning when Randy and Roseann joined the station. Randy, Roseann, Ed and Susan had such great chemistry and not only made the news informative, but brought a smile and a chuckle to me every morning.

One of my favorite memories of Randy is the clip of him working the CBS 2 security desk. He put on a blazer many sizes to small and denied access to the building to anyone without proper ID, unless of course they slipped him some cash. So funny!

He will be missed by everyone who knew or watched him. My deepest condolences to his family, his Channel 2 family, and especially the morning team.

I moved to Chicago from Albany, NY at the same time Randy Salerno moved from his broadcasting job in Albany, NY to Chicago. As a teenager, the transition was a little bit easier, seeing the same television broadcaster from my old home in my new home. He will be missed.

We sill sorely miss starting off our morning with Randy being a part of the Morning News Team. He was a very important part of the team's chemistry.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, children and his CBS2 Morning News Team.

Oh my gosh this was a horrible shock while riding to work today. The channel two morning group are like family to us, we watch every morning. We loved Randy's humor and his quirky stories. He truly will be missed. We send our deepest sympathy to his family and to Channel 2 News family.

I enjoyed the morning show with Randy & Roseann. I loved his wicked sense of humor, and the under-the-breath comments.

It was so apparent that he truly enjoyed his job, I will miss him. Condolences to his family and co-workers

This is my first time sending anything to a news show. I just couldn't believe what I heard as I was leaving for work. I am so sad for his family. I really believe he was a asset to our lives. I enjoyed his wit and to my belief his honest approach to his job. I feel as if I personally lost a friend.
My Sincere sympathies
Ruth Schmid

I was on the morning news and spoke with Randy on the phone. The segment regarded a squirrel who got a plastic Easter egg shell stuck on his head. I had some video and sent it via the website. Randy and the rest of the team joked with me about the video. The rest of the team always took shots at Randy's low key behavior and sarcasm and he took it in stride. Randy never took himself to seriously and for anchors in Chicago, thats a rare commodity. Many condolences to Randy's family & friends, he will be missed.
