Teacher Indicted In Sexual Assault Of Student
CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) ―
A March 26 arraignment date has been set for a female teacher accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old student at a Northwest Side school for troubled youth.
Linda Pithyou, 29, of 3723 W. Devon in Chicago, was formally charged Friday with two counts of criminal sexual assault and four counts of aggravated sexual abuse, Cook County State's Attorney's office spokeswoman Tandra Simonton said.
According to court records, Pithyou and her victim, a male student at Lawrence Hall Youth Services at 4833 N. Francisco, met on multiple occasions in Pithyou's car near Sheridan and Pratt.
Pithyou, a teacher at Lawrence Hall, allegedly drank alcohol, smoked marijuana and engaged in oral sex sex with the boy. On several of those occasions, Pithyou's 16-month-old son was in the car with them, prosecutors allege.
She was arrested and charged on Feb. 20, according to police. She faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted, Simonton said..
